Wait for me de Moby se grabó en el propio estudio del músico.
Cuenta con la colaboración de amigos e invitados, algunos relativamente desconocidos.
Comenzó a trabajar en el álbum durante la primera parte de 2008, inspirado en parte por un speech sobre la creatividad de David Lynch (su director de cine favorito) en los Bafta (los premios de la academia británica de cine).
